Building Better Financial Futures

We started Pointedwebapp because too many businesses in the Philippines were struggling with budgeting approaches that just didn't fit their reality. Activity-based budgeting changes everything.

How We Got Here

Back in early 2024, I was consulting for a manufacturing company in Cebu. They'd spent months on their budget, but it kept falling apart because it didn't connect to what they actually did every day. That's when activity-based budgeting clicked for me.

Instead of guessing at departmental costs, we mapped their actual activities — machine setup time, quality checks, customer service calls. Suddenly, their numbers made sense. They could see where money went and why.

"We realized most businesses were trying to budget backwards, starting with departments instead of the work that drives costs. Activity-based budgeting flips that around."

What We Believe

Every business deserves budgeting that actually works with their operations, not against them. Traditional budgeting feels like guesswork because it often is. Activity-based budgeting connects your spending to the real work your business does.

Why Philippines

Filipino businesses are incredibly resourceful, but many are using budgeting methods designed for different markets. We focus on approaches that work for the diverse business landscape here — from manufacturing in Laguna to service companies in Metro Manila.

1

Map Your Activities

We start by understanding what your business actually does — the activities that drive costs and create value. This isn't about departments or traditional categories.

2

Connect Costs to Activities

Then we link your spending to these activities. Machine maintenance costs go to production activities, not just a general "operations" bucket.

3

Plan Around Reality

Your budget becomes a tool that reflects how work actually gets done. When you need to cut costs or invest more, you can see the real impact.

What Drives Us

We believe budgeting should help you make better decisions, not just track what happened last month.

Every business is different. Cookie-cutter solutions waste everyone's time.

Good financial management isn't about perfect predictions — it's about understanding your business well enough to adapt quickly.

Education matters more than software. Tools are helpful, but understanding the principles behind activity-based budgeting is what creates lasting change.
